Hi, I'm Nathan Draper, founder of A Quick Word.
Writing has been one of the great passions of my life, and I've been lucky enough to make a career out of it.
I've spent the last decade working in public affairs and communications for a range of clients from multinationals to small businesses. Along the way, I've written press releases, briefing notes, leaflets, blog posts, reports and everything in between. You name it, I've written it! Organisations I've worked for include Bupa, the National Pharmacy Association and the Woodland Trust.
I am now a freelance copywriter and content writer who writes material for businesses, charities, not-for-profits and individuals - in fact, anyone who has a message to communicate to others.
I'm based in St Albans and offer my services across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and London, although if you aren't based in these areas I'm still happy to chat and see if I can help.

1. Passion for writing
I started writing (or rather dictating!) fantasy stories as a young child and have never really stopped. I still love writing poetry and short stories in my spare time.
Writing and communications have always been at the very heart of my career: I've written copy for numerous corporate clients and charities.
In addition to my 10 years of experience in communications, I also have the educational training to back it up.
I have a BA in Politics, which comes in handy when writing detailed corporate reports and briefing documents, in addition to a Trinity CertTESOL which I used to teach English in Tokyo, Japan and Turin, Italy.
I'm passionate about my career - and my community - and I enjoy meeting like-minded people.
I'm a proud member of ProCopywriters (the largest association for commercial writers) and a number of business networking groups across Hertfordshire.
